Beethoven Kreutzer Sonata @ Bloomsbury

Alissa + Litsa were scheduled to make an appearance at Bloomsbury International Recital Series on Feb 17th, sadly due to multiple bookings the duo will be parted for this 1 date to allow Alissa to perform a recital in Tunbridge.

The Bloomsbury performance will still take place on Feb 17th at 6pm and Litsa + Alissa are happy to anounce that the reknowned concert pianist Petr Limonov will be making a guest appearance alongside Litsa in the performance of Beethoven's famous 'Kreutzer' Sonata.The recital will also feature solo piano works by Chopin.

Alissa + Litsa would like to wish everybody a very happy new year, and a big thanks to all who have supported us throughout 2009.With a busy schedule of dates it is sure to be an exciting year ahead and we hope to see some of you at our future concerts and recitals.
Coming up in 2010 we will give performances at Lauderdale house London for the Alkili Trust further concerts@the Reform Club featuring Beethoven Kreutzer sonata, recitals in Ealing,Bloomsbury, and st Pancras Parish and a performance at the Proms at St.Judes festival.Further programmes, dates and events to be announced soon.

Kingston Recital

A huge thanks to all those who attended the recital in Kingston on Monday. As the concluding recital of the series Alissa + Litsa drew to a close a wonderful season of concerts at All Saints. With a combination of classic piano sonatas and contemporary violin works the duo demonstrated their versatility and virtuosity as well as their fresh approach to programming. The recital featured Peter Seabourne's 'A Music Beginning' and Boris Pigovat's 'The Silent Music' which the audience rapturously applauded.

Special thanks to Keith Long and his staff for all their help and assistance on the day and to Basil Whiffin for the photography.

Vaughan Williams' lilting melodies echoed through the air on Friday as Alissa + Litsa warmed up for their recital at Charlton House.The duo performed to a packed audience with a programme featuring Elgar's violin sonata and Vaughan Williams 'The Lark Ascending'. The concert was a huge success and ended with rapturous applause resulting in the duo being immediately re booked for future dates.

Alissa + Litsa were commended for their outstanding sense of ensemble and virtuosity in the Elgar and praised for their breathtaking interpretation of 'The Lark Ascending' which left audience members mesmerised with their fresh approach to this popular classic.

Summer has ground to a halt and Winter is steadily approaching but Alissa + Litsa are both looking beyond to 2010 when another busy season of concerts and recitals begins.Hot on the Heels of their last Reform Club Recital the duo are busy preparing for another concert due to popular demand with the programme to include Elgar violin Sonata and Beethoven Kreutzer Sonata.Date to be confirmed.....watch this space!

Between rehearsing,practising,traveling,and frantic phone calling/emailing Alissa + Litsa had their first joint photoshoot with images for their brand new website which will be launched shortly.

Just a quick note to say thankyou to all those who attended our recital yesterday at St Pancras Parish, it was great to see so many people on what was a rather rainy Thursday! It was a wonderful concert and we will be back at St Pancras in 2010. Hope to see you there.

Busy,Busy,Busy!

Alissa + Litsa have been very busy for the past few weeks performing many recitals .Most recently an outstanding performance at the Reform Club,Pall Mall where they amazed audience members with a rendition of Paganini's Caprice no.5 arranged by Paul Sladik for violin and Piano.This technically demanding work led to a standing ovation from the audience and subsequent encore performance.After being treated to a three course meal and champagne in the Reform Club gardens it was straight back to work for the duo who were busy preparing for another recital the following evening.Next dates are in July (14th and 15th) Now taking bookings for September dates.

Alissa+Litsa is a creative collaboration between violinist Litsa Tunnah and concert pianist Alissa Tavdidishvili.After a chance meeting in London in early 2009 the pair united in their passion for contemporary classical music.With less than 24 hours notice, the duo worked through the night to prepare their first recital programme, mesmerising audience members and critics alike with their interpretation of 'The Silent Music' by renowned Israeli composer Boris Pigovat.
Since their debut performance at London's Regent Hall Alissa+Litsa have been inundated with concert requests and are currently scheduling future engagements.
